Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using this website, submitting a business, or relying on any evaluation, badge, profile, or ProScore shown on the platform.

Website Terms

Terms That Keep the Platform Clear

These terms explain how the website works, how evaluations should be understood, and what users, customers, and business owners should expect when using the platform.

These Terms & Conditions explain how this website may be used, how business evaluations are presented, what ProScore and badges mean, and what users should understand before relying on any information shown on the platform.

By visiting the website, searching for businesses, submitting information, creating an account, contacting a listed provider, or requesting a business evaluation, you agree to use the platform responsibly and in accordance with these terms.

Yes. These Terms may be updated as the platform grows, services change, legal requirements evolve, or new trust and safety features are added. Continued use of the website after updates means you accept the latest version of the Terms.

Platform Use

How the Website May Be Used

The platform provides local business discovery, business profile information, evaluation signals, category pages, ProScore information, badges, and educational trust and safety content. It is designed to help people make more informed decisions when reviewing local businesses.

No. Listed businesses are independent providers. The platform may help you discover, compare, or evaluate information about local businesses, but it does not perform the actual service, control the provider’s work, set their prices, manage their schedule, or guarantee the result of any job.

You may not use the website to submit false information, impersonate another person or business, scrape content, misuse badges, interfere with the website, attempt unauthorized access, post misleading claims, abuse forms, send spam, or use platform content in a way that damages trust or creates confusion.

Evaluations

Business Evaluations, ProScore & Badges

No. Evaluations are based on available information, submitted details, public signals, online presence, and internal review criteria. A profile, badge, or ProScore should be viewed as helpful information, not as a promise that every customer experience will be perfect.

The ProScore is a structured 100-point evaluation system. It may consider professional proof, local presence, website and online experience, customer reputation, accessibility and response, and legitimacy or compliance signals. Scores may be updated if new information becomes available or if a business is re-evaluated.

No. Businesses may pay for the work involved in an evaluation, but payment does not buy a higher score, a better position, a badge, verification, a recommendation, or a favorable outcome. This rule protects the trust of customers and the credibility of the evaluation process.

Badges highlight specific signals or strengths identified during an evaluation, such as website quality, reputation, response, local presence, licensing signals, or years evaluated. A badge is not a universal guarantee. It should be read together with the full business profile and the customer’s own judgment.

Yes. Business details, scores, badges, categories, service areas, and profile information may change over time. Information may be updated when a business submits new details, when public signals change, when an evaluation is refreshed, or when inaccurate information is found.

Yes. A listing, badge, ProScore, verification label, or profile may be corrected, paused, removed, or revoked if information is inaccurate, outdated, misleading, incomplete, misused, or connected to suspicious activity. The goal is to keep the platform credible for users and fair for businesses.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Users & Business Owners

Business owners are responsible for providing accurate, current, and honest information when submitting a business for review. This includes business name, service area, contact details, website, licenses, credentials, portfolio examples, and any other information requested during the evaluation process.

Customers are responsible for reviewing business information carefully, asking questions before hiring, confirming pricing and availability directly with the provider, checking licenses when required, and using safe hiring practices. The website is a discovery and evaluation resource, not a substitute for personal due diligence.

No. A business profile, evaluation, score, or badge may help communicate credibility, but it does not guarantee traffic, calls, leads, sales, bookings, revenue, rankings, or customer decisions. Business performance depends on many factors outside the platform’s control.

Payments

Evaluation Fees, Billing & Refunds

If a business pays for an evaluation, the payment covers review work and related processing. It does not guarantee approval, verification, a badge, a specific score, a listing position, or any customer leads. Any specific price, billing term, or payment condition shown during submission will apply to that request.

Refund eligibility depends on the status of the evaluation, the payment terms shown at the time of submission, and any applicable law. Once review work has started, evaluation fees may not always be refundable. If there is a billing issue, the business should contact support as soon as possible.

Content Rights

Website Content, Badges & Brand Assets

No badge, seal, score graphic, verification label, logo, or trust mark may be copied, edited, displayed, or used in a misleading way. Businesses may only use approved badge assets if they have been authorized to do so. Fake badges, altered badges, or badges used without permission may be removed, reported, or reviewed for further action.

Website content, logos, badge designs, verification labels, ProScore visuals, icons, page layouts, written content, and other brand assets are protected materials. They may not be copied, modified, reused, or represented as your own without written permission.

Business profiles may include links to third-party websites, social media pages, booking tools, maps, or external resources. Those websites are controlled by their own owners. You should review their terms, privacy practices, prices, policies, and contact details before using them.

Trust & Safety

Suspicious Activity, Misuse & Reports

If you see a fake badge, suspicious invoice, phishing message, misleading profile, spam, or someone misusing the PLOCAL name, report it through the appropriate contact or reporting page. Reports help protect customers, business owners, and the integrity of the evaluation system.

Questions about these Terms, business evaluations, badges, profiles, payments, or suspicious activity can be sent through the Contact page or by emailing support. Clear communication helps keep the platform useful, fair, and trustworthy.
