We have created <p local> because we couldn't find what we needed from Google or any other search engine out there.
As content producers ourselves, we wanted an easy way to access existing content from local businesses. We noticed that most local businesses will have websites that share 5 common themed pages (in different variants): "About (us)", "FAQs", "Testimonials", "Why (us)", and "(our) Services".
From here on instead of going on writing about why we have created <p local>, we will just urge you to search for key phrases such as "Locksmith FAQs", "Plumbing Services", or "Moving Testimonials", on google, and then try the same on <p local>. We hope that it will be enough to convince you that when looking for web content from local businesses, plocal is the superior search engine to use.
Wondering about the choice of our name and logo, and what does it mean?
If you ever created content for the web, you probably came across with some HTML: the HyperText Markup Language which is the standard markup language for documents designed to be displayed in a web browser. One of the most basic HTML tags is "<p>" which defines a paragraph, and "local" is our personalized attribute to the fact that the content is all from local businesses.
